DATE/TIME: TBA

LOCATION: QATHET ART CENTRE, above the library

COST: $100 includes GST, PST and all materials

Join us for an introduction into the wonderful world of Block Printing! In this workshop, you'll learn what makes an effective image, how to transfer it to a rubber block, how to carve it safely, and finally how to print onto paper.

Participants will then be printing their image onto their own Moleskine cahier notebook and some greeting cards. And maybe some other fun things!

THE FINE PRINT

Payment is due in advance. We can accept credit card via phone or e-transfer to admin@qa-w.ca or you can pay in person at the shop. Your spot is not confirmed until full payment is received.

Please bring several black & white images that you would like to try to carve and print. At least one should be a fairly simple line-type drawing, but we'll discuss them all (including how to simplify a more complicated one) and you can decide which one you'd like to carve. Maximum size is 4"x5.25"

The workshop is 3 hours, but there's a lot to talk about before we start carving, never mind printing!
