ALCOHOL INKS

INTRO TO BLOCK PRINTING

Join us for an introduction into the wonderful world of Block Printing! In this workshop, you'll learn what makes an effective image, how to transfer it to a rubber block, how to carve it safely, and finally how to print onto paper.
Participants will then be printing their image onto their own Moleskine cahier notebook and some greeting cards. And maybe some other fun things!

INTRO TO GEL PRINTING

Printmaking on the Gel Plate with Jennifer Love
Printing with a gel plate often feels like it is in the realm of magic. It is a recent addition to the artist’s toolkit and is gaining traction as an essentially painterly method that allows for multiple yet unique prints from the same plate, without a press.

BEYOND THE BASICS

This workshop is for those who already understand the basics - we will move beyond the fundamentals of gelprinting to resist/transfer printing using magazine pages, patterned wrapping paper, and laser prints of your own drawings or photographs, combining multiple techniques and
layers in a single-pull print.

Cancellation policy: Stuff happens. We totally understand that despite your best intentions, you may not be able to attend because life. If you cancel at least 4 days in advance of the workshop, we can give you a full refund. If you cancel within 4 days of the workshop, we will refund 75% of the fee.
Miscellaneous information: Masks of any kind are welcome, but not required. Masks are not provided. People may eat/drink at any time. This event takes place indoors. Due to the size of the space, social distancing will not be available. The workshop is limited to 8 participants. This location is wheelchair accessible; however, the bathroom is not. There is a sink for handwashing available on-site. Please bring your own hand sanitizer if you wish. Rapid-testing is not required before attending this event. Vaccinations are not required.
