This colorless medium can be mixed with water mixable oil paint in any ratio to extend the tube color. It is thick and is ideal for increasing the amount of paint; ideal for largescale work, creating impasto or glazing effects. The more paste you add, the more the transparent your paint will become - color intensity will decrease. This medium is particularly useful for alla prima (wet-on-wet) techniques.
